2024-25 SEASON:
Registration will open to the public at 10am on July 29th. More details, and link to register are below.
Please read this in its entirety prior to registering. If you proceed to register it is understood that you have read this email and agree to follow the terms outlined.
Registration is open for returning players on the morning of July 15th, and will be opened to the broader public shortly, at 10am July 29th. Junior Bulls registration will open in late September.
Please register and pay (or have a payment plan in place) when registering to secure your spot. Spots are not confirmed until payment is received. Ideally, we will have two or three teams of 10 at each age group. Being a small organization it is always a balance in getting the right number of players. If we end up with a difficult number of players with too many for one team, but not enough for two teams, we will have a tryout (not an assessment). In this case not all players will make the team (and will be fully refunded). We will try to have this tryout completed prior to the close of registrations of other organizations so players can register elsewhere. Please understand that this is only done as a last resort.
There are no refunds after the close of registration (except as outlined above). Decisions about teams are made when registration closes and players withdrawing after registration puts teams in jeopardy. Please decide if you want to play basketball with the Prospect Bulls before you register.
Assessments will be announced shortly. More details about assessments can be found here - https://cloud.rampinteractive.com/prospectbulls/files/PRBA%20Assessment%20Process%20APPROVED_2023.08.28.pdf
As a growing organization some of our top teams play more competitive basketball in the higher divisions. Kids play basketball to have fun, stay active and enjoy the sport, this includes our top teams. A player may choose not to participate in the assessment process with the understanding that this will result in them being assigned to the team playing in a lower division. If a player attends assessments and the player is selected for the higher division team, it is expected that they will play for that team. Please let us know if your player will not participate in assessments.
Birth Years and age group to register in are listed below.

We do not know what nights practices will be as this depends on gym and coach availability. We have gym access to PRES, BJHS, AMTB, PRCC, Ridgecliff Middle School, John W MacLeod Middle School and possibly others if we can secure additional gym time. Practices could be at any of these gyms. We will try to balance travel distance between teams, but expect to travel off of Prospect Road. The practice schedule will be confirmed after teams are finalized - likely early/mid September.
We are unable to accommodate requests to play with friends unfortunately.
The cost of registration this year will be $400. This covers gym time (schools are free but we pay for PRCC), equipment, uniform use, MBANS registration and games/refs, insurance, coach training, Provincial registration (note we are the only association that we are aware of that covers this cost) and other costs associated with running a community basketball association. Kidsport (https://kidsportcanada.ca/) is available to offset registration fees if required. Payment plans are also available. Please contact us for details.
MBANS will announce the game schedule later, likely mid-October. U10 and U12 will play on Saturdays. U14, U16, U18 will play on Sundays. More information about MBANS can be found here - https://www.mbans.ca/8
Please allow 48 hrs at a minimum for a response to emails. While we will do our best to answer questions in a timely manner, we are all volunteers pulled in multiple directions.
Please allow 7 days before asking payment was received as it takes time to process the payments.
